Age Limit (As of 01 August 2026): 18 to 30 years. Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1996 and not later than 01.08.2008. (Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms).

New Selection & Application Process

  1. OTR (One Time Registration): All candidates must complete a fresh OTR on the new SSC website (ssc.gov.in). Old IDs from ssc.nic.in are no longer valid.
  2. Live Photo Requirement: Unlike previous years, you cannot upload a pre-existing photo. You must capture a live photograph using a webcam or the SSC official app during the application.
  3. Selection Stages: * Paper I: Computer Based Examination (Objective Type).
    • Paper II: Descriptive Test (Translation and Essay).
    • Document Verification: Conducted by the user departments.
